Split costs

A solo traveller in Prague spends about ~$45–80 USD a day. Accommodation, transport, guided tours and day trips all cost less split two ways.

Stay safer

A travel companion means someone knows your plans, can help navigate emergencies, and makes you less of a target in unfamiliar areas of Prague.

Go deeper

The best experiences in Prague (the off-menu restaurant, the dawn hike, the local's favourite spot) are found with a curious companion, not a guidebook.

🎯

Matched by style

Roammate filters by travel pace, budget range, and interests, so you connect with someone genuinely compatible, not just whoever's in the same hostel dorm.

Meeting someone new in Prague

Agreeing to travel with someone you met online is a real decision. Here is what sits between matching and meeting.

Verified profiles

Travellers can verify their identity with a government-ID and liveness check, and verified accounts carry a badge you can filter on.

Chat before you commit

Message in the app and get a sense of someone first. Nothing obliges you to share contact details, or to meet at all.

Report and block

If someone makes you uncomfortable, report or block them at any point, before or after you have arranged anything.

Emergency SOS

Add emergency contacts before you travel. If something goes wrong in Prague, raise an alert to them from inside the app.

Worth agreeing on before you meet

Beer Culture

Czech Republic drinks more beer per capita than any country on Earth. Pilsner was invented here (Plzeň, 1842). A half litre is the standard order. Tipping on beer is done by rounding up to the nearest 10 CZK.

Always Pay in CZK

Prague is NOT in the Eurozone. Always pay in Czech Crowns. If a restaurant offers to charge in euros, decline. The conversion rate will be 10–15% worse. ATMs give the best rate.

Full detail (itineraries, budgets, neighbourhoods and safety) is in the Prague travel guide.
