Worth agreeing on before you meet

Dress Code

Oman is conservative. Cover shoulders and knees at all times in public. Swimwear is only for wadi pools and hotel pools. Women don't need to cover their hair except in mosques.

Mosque Etiquette

Non-Muslims generally cannot enter mosques in Oman (Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat is the exception). Respect prayer times, as shops and restaurants may close briefly.

Full detail (itineraries, budgets, neighbourhoods and safety) is in the Nizwa travel guide.
