in Gyeongju
The museum without walls: a thousand years of Silla Dynasty history scattered across royal tombs, ancient temples, and forested mountains in Korea's former capital.
Travel better in Gyeongju with the right person
Split costs
A solo traveller in Gyeongju spends about ~$35โ70 USD a day. Accommodation, transport, guided tours and day trips all cost less split two ways.
Stay safer
A travel companion means someone knows your plans, can help navigate emergencies, and makes you less of a target in unfamiliar areas of Gyeongju.
Go deeper
The best experiences in Gyeongju (the off-menu restaurant, the dawn hike, the local's favourite spot) are found with a curious companion, not a guidebook.
Matched by style
Roammate filters by travel pace, budget range, and interests, so you connect with someone genuinely compatible, not just whoever's in the same hostel dorm.

Worth agreeing on before you meet
Temple Etiquette
Remove shoes before entering temple halls. Dress modestly (cover shoulders and knees). Bow respectfully before Buddha images. Photography is usually permitted outside but check for restrictions inside halls. Keep voices low, as active temples are places of worship.
Respect the Tombs
Do not climb on the burial mounds in Tumuli Park or anywhere else. These are royal graves and climbing them is disrespectful and damages the structures. Stay on designated paths and do not pick flowers or plants from the tomb grounds.
